Pulse Data International Supreme Winner at AMCHAM
Business Awards
Pulse Data International Ltd, took top
honours at the influential fourth American Chamber of Commerce Business
Awards in Auckland last night.
Prime Minister
Helen Clark, business leaders, diplomats and several current and former
political leaders attended the annual gala awards, which celebrate entrepreneurship, new ideas and achievement in
building business and trade between New Zealand and the United States.
Pulse Data International beat off a diverse and dynamic
line up of finalists to carry off the supreme
prize, demonstrating to judges “commitment to innovation, passion for
business success, a structured approach to developing market opportunities
in the United States and a record of corporate citizenship”. As well as
being named the supreme winner Pulse Data was also awarded Exporter
of the Year to the USA for Services and Technology.

Pulse Data’s Business Development Manager. "The United States is our
biggest market, so for our
efforts to be recognised and acknowledged at this level is a wonderful
achievement and one the company is particularly proud of.”

AmCham is to strengthen and promote bilateral understanding and
relationships and we see an urgent need for the New Zealand and US
governments to demonstrate ongoing commitment to forging a bilateral free
trade agreement in the
future,” said Michael
Stanley, President of AmCham in New Zealand which has been promoting
trade, investment and tourism with the USA for 38 years and represents
members with sales in excess of $50 billion.
Mr Stanley said
Pulse Data International, which exports 80 per cent of its unique range of
BrailleNote, VoiceNote and SmartView video magnifier products to the
United States, had made the investment and built the strategic
relationships to carve out a niche for its highly innovative products to
exemplify export success, particularly in the United States”.
