ACB Radio’s Jonathan Mosen Joins Pulse Data

Pulse Data International is delighted to announce the appointment of Jonathan Mosen as Product Marketing Manager, responsible for the product management and promotion internationally of Pulse Data’s BrailleNote and VoiceNote products.

Jonathan takes over this role from Larry Lewis, who has been appointed to the new senior management role of General Manager of the Blindness Division of Pulse Data HumanWare. In this role, Larry reports to the President of Pulse Data HumanWare, Jim Halliday.

“Attracting Jonathan to Pulse Data International is a major coup for us. He is not only considered a "power user" of the BrailleNote, and of standard computers, but is also highly competent in many areas of assistive technology, and of technology in general. We are very much looking forward to having him on the team,” says Greg Thompson Pulse Data International’s International Marketing & Business Development Manager.

Blind since birth, Jonathan has a BA in History & Political Studies, and Masters degree in Public Policy (MPP). He is extremely well known throughout the blindness community worldwide, largely through his involvement with the internet radio station, ACB Radio. In 1999 Jonathan formed his own company, "Out of Sight Ltd.", to manage ACB Radio, on behalf of the American Council for the Blind. His company also provided training to blind people in the use of popular computer applications with the aid of assistive technology, and accessible web design consulting.

“My BrailleNote is my most essential piece of technology, so I realise how important it is for its users to have products that are thoroughly dependable. I also realize the importance of continuing the trend of innovation so ably established by my predecessors in this role at Pulse Data. My role will involve prioritising the development of the BrailleNote and VoiceNote products, liaising with Pulse Data’s distribution channels around the world, and looking at strategies to promote these fantastic products…it’s a challenging role but it is full of possibilities”, says Jonathan.

With four young children, Jonathan is already an extremely busy man, but he has found time since 1993 to participate actively with the Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind. He is currently Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the RNZFB, but will stand down from this position when he begins at Pulse Data on Monday 21st July.

“In Jonathan and Larry, Pulse Data now has on its team two of the most experienced and respected Braille technology experts in the world,’ says Greg Thompson. “The future for the BrailleNote and VoiceNote products is exciting, and is being directed by two very capable and skilled managers”.
