Data HumanWare Expands Services
CONCORD, CA (January 22, 2004) ---
Pulse Data HumanWare announced today that Vinnie Rappa will assume the
position of Vice President of Sales for both blindness and low vision
products on February 1st.
Mr. Rappa has been working with people who have vision
impairments for nearly three decades and is well known as a leader in the
industry. “I love both
sides of this business, so taking on the blindness in addition to low
vision is perfect for me,” stated Mr. Rappa. Jim
Halliday, President Emeritus at Pulse Data HumanWare praised Mr Rappa,
“Through the years, Vinnie has taught orientation and mobility, directed
programs at Helen Keller National Center, worked in the trenches as a rep
selling and supporting both blindness and low vision technology, and
managed sales organizations with several of our industry’s leading
companies most recently as our own VP of Low Vision Sales.
We are delighted that he has accepted this expanded role.”
Pulse Data has also expanded its
services in other areas. Jonathan
Mosen, well known as the “voice” of ACB Radio, joined the Pulse Data
team in July as the BrailleNote/VoiceNote Product Manager.
In his short tenure, Mr. Mosen has already brought his technical
knowledge and Braille expertise to Pulse Data’s new development efforts.
“I have spent years evaluating technology.
It is exciting to finally be part of its creation,” he explained.
Additionally, Matthew Janusauskus,
Director of Training Services at PDH relocated to the Midwest over the
holidays to be more central to the field.
“Matthew’s breadth of product knowledge and training skills are
a tremendous resource to the market in general,” explained Mr. Halliday.
Technical guru, Pete DeVasto was added in October to expand PDH’s
support for blindness products. Rich
Sundermeir (NY) and Ted Dongvillo (MI, WI, IN) were added as low vision
field representatives in December as was Sonja Homan (GA, NC, SC, TN) for
both low vision and blindness. And
Karen Lincoln has been added to head up Pulse Data HumanWare’s Inside
Sales / Customer Service Department as PDH pursues ever better customer
service and support.
