Special Commendation for Dr Russell Smith

Last month Pulse Data International's CEO Dr Russell Smith won a Special Commendation in the technology category of the 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. The award recognises Dr Smith's leadership in the development of new and innovative products for the blind and visually impaired, including the BrailleNote.

All major category winner names were then put forward for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year title. This award is the most recognised and respected award for entrepreneurial excellence in New Zealand and around the globe and acknowledges people who have created successful businesses through hard work and vision - they are team players, motivators, goal setters and inspirational characters.
