New Board Members Appointed at Pulse Data 

Pulse Data International is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Chris Laurie and Mr Tim Robinson to its Board of Directors. 

Chris Laurie brings significant business experience to the new role with experience in commercial management, successfully operating in both regulated and deregulated markets, and in environments of tremendous change within the electricity and gas industries. He is an experienced company director, with roles extending over both publicly listed and private companies operating nationally and internationally.

Chris is a registered engineer, and since 1998 he has been Chief Executive of Orion New Zealand Ltd (formerly Southpower), based in Christchurch. His current directorships include Connectics Ltd., Energetics Pty., TransFlux Developments Ltd., 4RF Communications Ltd., and CIC Global LLC.

Tim Robinson is a Director of Investment Banking, and Co-Head of Mergers and Acquisitions, at Credit Suisse First Boston NZ Ltd. (CSFB), based in Wellington. Tim has 15 years experience in the investment banking industry with CSFB and its predecessor firms, Jarden Morgan, and Jarden & Co. During that time he has had extensive involvement in business evaluations, strategic advisory work, corporatisations, regulatory reviews, mergers, acquisitions and divestments.

Prior to joining CSFB, Tim was Manager, Business Taxation, in the New Zealand Treasury, and was extensively involved in the business tax reform programme in the period 1984-1990.

Welcoming Chris and Tim to the Board, Pulse Data International CEO, Dr Russell Smith, said, “ Both individuals bring strong leadership and direction with them into these roles and we look forward to their active involvement and contribution to Pulse Data International’s future growth and ongoing success.”

Alan Townsend, CEO of Trimble Navigation in Christchurch is retiring from the Board after four years service due to increasing offshore commitments with Trimble.
